Summer on Canandaigua Lake is all long evenings and soft light over the water, and Tia and Michael's wedding weekend at The Lake House on Canandaigua was built to savor every hour of it.
Augusta Cole planned and designed the celebration. It began with a lakeside rehearsal dinner at the resort's Sand Bar, with family, friends and a few very small guests running across the lawn as the boats came in.
On Saturday Tia and Michael married on the lawn beneath an arch of yellow and marigold flowers, the lake stretching out behind them. The palette carried through the whole day, from the bouquets and flower crowns to the long tables set with golden plates.
The reception filled the barn, glowing under star lanterns and golden drapery, with toasts, dances with the littlest guests and a crowded dance floor. Fireworks over the lake closed the night.
